Russian Verb Conjugation: Verb Ending in -ить (Exceptions)

1. He never beats his wife.
   – never – никогда́ не
   – wife – жена́
   – to beat the wife – бить свою́ жену́
2. My mom sews very well.
   – mom – ма́ма
   – very well – о́чень хорошо́
3. If I make a mistake, correct me, please.
   – if – е́сли
   – We usually use the Future Tense after “if”, when the action must be performed in the future.
   – correct me, please – попра́вь меня́, пожа́луйста (informal) / попра́вьте меня́, пожа́луйста (polite)
4. How often do you shave?
   – how often – как ча́сто
5. We have been living here for 5 years.
   – here – здесь/тут
   – for 5 years – уже́ пять лет
